She was crowned Miss Columbus in 1985 after kissing the crown, and beating her competitors. As a result of her victory, Miss Georgia 1985 was entitled to enter her for the pageant. On June 22 Mohr was the winner of the tournament. Mohr went on to be a part of Georgia in her participation in the Miss America 1986 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September 1985, following her triumph. However, she was not the top 10 finalist for the title of Miss America.
