
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her debut role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. She then appeared in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). In television, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born to the family of a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. Through her father Sigman is legally a U.S. citizen. The brother of her and baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was once engaged to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career as a TV actress on Mexican television before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. [6] The film was selected for consideration as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards,[7][8] however it didn't make the final cut. For her performance in the film, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. She was a part of the Canadian documentary Flight of the Butterflies the following year.
