Colleen Ballinger

Colleen Mae Balinger was born on November 21st, 1986. She is best known for her Internet character Miranda Sings, making videos of her character on YouTube as well as performing her own one-woman comedy show on tour in theatres worldwide, and performing in a Netflix original show called Haters Back Off (2016-2017) about the character. Ballinger developed the jolly, eccentric, egotistical, incompetent character to mock the many YouTube videos of people who sing badly as a way to make it into the showbiz. Her YouTube channels, when combined have reached 5 billion views. The Miranda Sings channel has more than 10 million subscribers and the character has more than 13 million TikTok followers and six million Instagram followers. Ballinger has won an award called the Teen Choice Award for "Web Star: Comedy"and a Streamy Award for Best Actress. 4 She was cited by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the Top 25 Digital Stars and placed at in the top spot at No. Forbes magazine's list for 2017 placed her fifth among the top entertainment influencers. Ballinger has worked as an actor and performer on stage, television recordings, as well as on web-based series.
